Dear Parent,
I imagine you may have landed here because you have a nonverbal child with autism. I have documented my experience in my book Strange Son, in hopes that parents like you can find some help in improving your child’s communication. There are many kinds of autism and many kinds of nonverbal autism, some nonverbal people have excellent receptive language and can learn to point and type to communicate. I commend you for wanting to find out if your child can understand and communicate.
I wish you the best of luck, – Portia
